Dunlap possesses an incredible physical skill set and has the power, length and body control to overwhelm opposing linemen on contact. He coils up into his stance well and does a great job firing off of the ball and delivering a powerful punch on contact. When his motor is on high, he consistently has the power to rock linemen into the backfield and shed blocks on contact. He does a nice job keeping his base down on his initial jolt and then generating power from his lower half. Dunlap uses his long arms well to shed blocks, and he possesses a violent swat-over move that allows him to keep clean and shed blocks. He drops his shoulder down once he gains a step and has a good initial burst toward the passer. He has the power to stack and shed vs. the run game, but he seems to lose interest and at times is too easily sealed away from the ball. Dunlap has a tendency to disappear throughout parts of the game, and his motor doesn't always run on high. He isn't an explosive edge rusher, lacks the burst to consistently turn the corner and likes to get into linemen and use his length, power, and short-area quickness to shed blocks.
