MADISON - Freshman James White scored early and often during Wisconsin's 70-3 blowout victory over Austin Peay Saturday afternoon. By the end, the tailback reached pay dirt four times and compiled 145 yards on 11 carries. [details]
The Good: A big downhill back who runs with good power and pad level inside. Is tough to bring down on first contact and does a nice job driving his legs through defenders. Nimble and coordinated for a back his size and has an ability to get a step on defenders in space and step through tackles. The Bad: Plays at one speed and lacks any type of explosion. Takes too long to reach the line of scrimmage and will take too many negative plays at the next level.
