The Good: Manningham is a lean, wiry athlete who has proved himself in his college career against some of the nation's top cover cornerbacks. He runs precise routes that allow him to get open consistently. He has outstanding leaping skills and possesses good separation speed. His elusiveness and ability to break tackles allow him to gain yardage after the catch. His leaping skills make him particularly tough on fade patterns.
The Bad: Although he catches the ball naturally, Manningham occasionally drops a catchable pass. He is merely an adequate blocker and must develop his strength. He ran poor times of 4.60 and 4.68 at the NFL Scouting Combine, though he ran a sub-4.5 time at Michigan's Pro Day.
