A massive tight end prospect who displays good short-area quickness in the pass game, Boone has above-average straight-line speed for a man his size. He's shifty after the catch and exhibits the power to consistently rumble through tacklers in the open field. He displays impressive coordination and ball skills for his size and looks natural with the football in his hands. He's a natural bender off the line, exhibits good flexibility in his lower half and can quickly get off the snap. He does a nice job getting his feet around defenders off the snap on reach blocks and sealing them from the play. Boone demonstrates good initial hand placement on contact but will lose balance as he works downfield and starts to fall off blocks. He possesses good natural strength on contact, can create push as an inline guy and handles defensive ends on contact. He isn't going to be a starter at the next level but can win on contact as a blocker and will be able to catch the ball underneath. He looks capable of competing for a roster spot as a backup tight end.
