He does a great job of extending his long arms into blocks and has the strength to set the edge and disengage toward the ball. He showcases a good feel for the game and possesses the awareness to jump the snap count and get off the ball on time. He exhibits a good first step for his size when trying to reach the corner. Pierre-Paul keeps his pad level down and displays a powerful rip move to keep himself clean off the edge. He showcases the ability to coil up in his stance but will get sloppy and high off the ball the more tired he gets. He works hard in pursuit and showcases the lateral quickness to shed blocks inside and quickly close on the ball. He is still learning how to use his hands and looks raw at times on his pass rush and counter move. But the skill set is there.
