Pros: Explosive small-college tackle has been instrumental in the Texas State success in recent seasons. Evans is an athletic, mobile defender who flashes playmaking ability from the inside. He is quick on the snap and plays with good leverage and footwork, allowing him to use his powerful frame and base to gain penetration into the backfield. Cons: Needs to improve his read and reaction skills. He has good functional strength, but will benefit from a concentrated weight training program to bulk up and improve his ability to strike with his hands and hold the point of attack better. He shows flashes of fine power and quickness and will look very dominant in some games, but disappear during other periods of games. Numbers: As a senior, he made 55 tackles while being a force in the middle in 14 starts. He added 18 tackles for loss and five sacks.
