Go inside to take a special look at the 13 NFTC alums drafted in the first round of this year's NFL Draft. Their paths to the NFL were not the same, but all had the desire to compete and improve their game and it has obviously paid off. [details]
The Good: Cason is a big, tough, savvy cornerback who has all the skills needed to become a top-flight NFL corner. He started every game of his career at Arizona. He has an excellent combination of size, toughness and quickness along with the ball instincts and agility to match up in both zone and man coverage. He ran a fine 4.45 time electronically in Indianapolis. He has the good footwork and hip flexibility to match up in the deep game. He gave the tough Arizona defense a shut down cover man that allowed them to play a number of schemes.
The Bad: At times, he overreacts to pump fakes or double moves - especially by smaller, quicker receivers. Biting on these fakes often gets him out of position. He matches up better with big receivers where his size, agility and physical skills allow him to grade out high.
