Safety Anthony Scirrotto had a productive career at Penn State and was named All-Big Ten by conference coaches this past season. But he didn't get an invitation to the NFl Scouting Combine, and he wasn't the only recognizable name left out. Get the scoop on that and more inside Monday with Mike.[details]
The Good: Possesses excellent height and overall speed for the position. Has an explosive initial first step and gets up to speed very quickly; can run with receivers down the field. Has experience at both corner and safety. Does a great job in zone coverage reading quarterbacks' eyes and jumping balls all over the field. Displays excellent range and is an explosive leaper; consistently goes up and makes plays at the highest point. The Bad: Is very raw as a corner and lacks the footwork and balance to stay with NFL receivers in and out of his breaks. Is way too high out of his back-pedal and struggles changing directions cleanly. Needs to add weight and make a transition to safety.
