The good: Hickman is a smooth athlete with quick upfield rush ability and a good initial burst off the snap. Hickman plays with the type of leverage that allows him to battle bigger linemen to a standstill. Hickman is quick off the snap. His versatility allowed him to play various positions along the front seven during his college career.
The bad: Hickman lacks height and doesn't have long arms. He needs some refinement in his strength and technique to earn playing time in the NFL.
Outlook: Hickman is similar to Tampa Bay's Greg Spires in size, athletic ability and positional role. He has the big-play ability to be a factor off the edge in the right setting. He's a good late-round pick with the talent to surprise and become a quality role-player or special-teams performer.
