The good: Strong-armed, athletic passer completed an outstanding college career. He is a good athlete with a live arm and the intangibles to excel at the NFL level. He has good footwork and the intelligence the position demands to succeed as a pro. He has the strength to break tackles and can move enough to keep the play alive. As a senior, Quinn threw for 3,278 yards with 35 TD passes and just five interceptions. He had a 64 percent completion rate, completing 274 of 432 passes attempted. He owns 36 school records in a program that produced stars like Joe Montana and Paul Hornung.
The bad: At the Senior Bowl, he opted not to play due to a minor knee injury sustained in the Sugar Bowl. At the Combine, he didn't do any drills other than weightlifting - Quinn lifted 225 pounds 25 times. Despite not working out at the Combine, he made all the throws and did very well at his Pro Day at Notre Dame.
Outlook: Quinn is one of the premier prospects in this draft class and he will probably be a top-five selection. He has the tools to become a top-flight NFL QB fairly early in his career. The Lions and Browns are eyeing him, though he could fall to the Vikings at No. 7.
