Frank Coyle's analysis of the class:

This year's center group is a marginal class with no top-100 draft selection at this point.

POSITION
GRADE
D

Steve Justice may be the first player selected at this position. We expect him to have an impressive workout at the NFL Combine.

There could be at least four NFL starters - in time - from this average group.

This class should see at least five prospects selected over the seven-round draft.

2008 NFL Draft Center Rankings
1. John Sullivan, 6-4, 300, Notre Dame
He has a nice combination of size, technique and savvy. A marginal top-150 prospect, he could develop into a starter in time.
2. Steve Justice, 6-3, 285, Wake Forest
Despite his adequate athletic ability and size, he carries a starting grade on savvy and toughness with the skill set to have a long pro career.
3. Mike Pollak, 6-3, 295, Arizona State
He has definite NFL starting ability, but only after further development - especially in pass protection.
4. Kory Lichtensteiger, 6-2, 310, Bowling Green
He is a highly developed prospect who was a dominant performer in the MAC but may come up short at the NFL level.
5. Jamey Richard, 6-3, 305, Buffalo
Richard has good strength, effort and experience but his lack of athletic ability will hinder him in the NFL.
6. Cody Wallace, 6-4, 295, Texas A&M
Wallace is a tough pivotman who can be characterized as a battler. He plays with good technique and strength, and gets the most out of his ability.
7. Isaiah Wiggins, 6-4, 290, Illinois State
Wiggins will move back to his more natural center position if he is to make it in the pros. He will need some time to make the conversion.
8. Doug Legursky, 6-2, 320, Marshall
Legursky is a scrappy player who has started for four seasons in the MAC. He has the natural ability to play in the NFL.
9. Matt Roan, 6-4, 290, Southern Utah
Roan is a nimble small-college tackle who figures to make an NFL roster as either a guard or center. With proper coaching and time to develop, he could earn a possible starting grade in time.
10. Adam Spieker, 6-3, 310, Missouri
Spieker is a possible late pick but most likely a free agent signee who must make a roster with a strong camp effort.
11. Matt Spanos, 6-5, 315, USC
12. Tony Brinkhaus, 6-3, 295, Minnesota
13. Juan Garcia, 6-3, 315, Washington
14. Marcus Coleman, 6-5, 300, Wisconsin
15. Kevin Sheridan, 6-5, 295, Boston College
16. Brennan Carvalho, 6-1, 320, Portland State
17. John Masters, 6-3, 290, Michigan State
18. Robbie Krutilla, 6-3, 310, Western Michigan
19. Drew Miller, 6-4, 300, Florida
20. Royce Blackledge, 6-4, 295, Mississippi State
