Heading into the 2007 season, Kent Sports Report will compare
Kent State's talent at each position to that of every opponent on the
schedule. First up is the quarterback position where the Golden Flashes return
Julian Edelman, who completed 134 of 242 passes for 1,859 yards last
fall. Edelman added over 650 rushing yards and combined to score 17 touchdowns.

Of Kent State's 12 opponents in 2007, eight teams return
a quarterback that attempted at least 100 passes last season. Only Akron,
Ohio State and Ohio University will start a player at quarterback with very
little game experience.

Listed below are each of the probably starters on the 2007
schedule and where Edelman figures into the mix:

No. 1: ANDREW WOODSON, KENTUCKY

Woodson,
named by Rivals.com as one of the most
reliable players at his position,
has the lowest interception ratio in SEC history for passers with at least
400 attempts.

He has thrown 14 interceptions in 760 career attempts, a
ratio of one interception per 54.3 passes.

He enters the 2007 season with
a school-record
streak of 162 consecutive passes without an interception. His last
interception came on Nov. 4 of last season against Georgia.

No. 2: DAN LeFEVOUR, CENTRAL MICHIGAN

Named, the Mid-American Conference's Freshman of the
Year, LeFevour is on the verge of rewriting the Chippewas record books.

He
completed 247-of-388 passes for 3,031 yards and 26 touchdowns to
just 10 interceptions. His 26 touchdowns were the most in a single season
at CMU,
while his completions rank second and his passing yards third.

Also
a threat with his legs, LeFevour rushed for 521 yards and seven scores.
