Richard Gordon made the transition from tight end to defensive line midway through last year.

Now he's ready for another transition.

"They just moved me back to tight end," Gordon told CaneSport.com. "I'm happy about that. It's an easier chance for playing time, and coach (Joe) Pannunzio wanted to move me there again."

UM was thin at the position, with the only other tight ends on scholarship Chris Zellner (who is a converted defensive end), DajLeon Farr and Dedrick Epps.
