Jackson closing in on Manhattan

GoPowercat.com Fort Scott (Kan.) Community College defensive end Robert Jackson signed with Kansas State in February. At the time, Jackson had schoolwork to finish before he could join the Wildcat football program for the first season on new coach Ron Prince.
Now, the Connecticut native has begun summer school at the Jayhawk Conference school as he works toward achieving his NCAA Division I-A eligibility.
The 6-foot-3, 265-pound Jackson reports things are going well. The nation's No. 76 rated junior college prospect in the Class of 2006 is eager to get to the Little Apple.
